Aida Torpey and Jack Nicholson were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for October.
Aida Torpey, Women's Cross Country:
Torpey helped guide her team to a pair of second places finishes in races during the month of October. First, in the NJIT Highlander Challenge, Aida finished 18th with a time of 19:14.
The junior from Tomkins Cove, N.Y. then posted a time of 22:38.4, which was good for a 5th overall finish in Hudson Valley Invitational.
Aida was tabbed the ECC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week on October 9th.
