Michael Miranda and Alyssa Rosania were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for September.
Michael Miranda, Golf:
Michael finished 1st with a 2-day score of 130 (60, 70) at the Dowling College September Shootout in Shoreham, NY on September 18th & 19th. Miranda set two Spartan individual records over two days, shattering the 18-hole number posting a scintillating first round 11-under par 60, and a second round score of 1-under par 70, while helping to lead his team to a First Place Finish.
The sophomore from Farmingville, NY also contributed to a Third Place Finish at the St. John's University Doc Gimmler (9/12 & 9/13), a Fourth Place Finish at the Columbia University Tuxedo Autumn Invitational (9/25 & 9/26 and another First Place Finish at the Dominican College Charger Challenge.
