A road trip to Rhode Island and a matchup against highly regarded Fordham University highlight the St. Thomas Aquinas College women’s softball team’s 2018 fall season schedule.
The Lady Spartans open its 11-game fall season with a 2 p.m. game on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the University of Rhode Island. They will visit Fordham University on Oct. 7 for a 12:30 p.m. game against Pace University and a 3 p.m. game with Fordham, the defending Atlantic 10 Conference champions.
“The fall season is always an exciting time for our players and program,” said STAC Head Coach Kristen Sullivan. “We have a new, experienced coaching staff and a number of promising recruits joining a team with a strong core of experienced players so it will be an important time for everyone to gel.”
Sullivan has added seven new players to a veteran team that last season registered the program’s most victories since 2011 in the East Coast Conference, one of the top conferences in the nation.
In addition to the games against University of Rhode Island, Pace and Fordham, the Spartans will also play Post University (Sept. 30), Nyack College (Oct. 12), Concordia College (Oct. 14) and Bloomfield College (Oct. 21).
