St. Thomas Aquinas College tennis player Enej Hasicevic was named the East Coast Conference Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week, following the Spartans 3-0 week.
The freshmen from Palma de Mallorca, Spain went a perfect 6-0 on the week with three wins at No. 2 doubles (8-5 vs. LeMoyne, 8-1 vs. Roberts Wesleyan, 8-5 vs. Daemen) and three wins at No. 4 singles (6-2, 7-5 vs. LeMoyne, 6-2, 6-2 vs. Roberts Wesleyan, 6-0, 6-0 vs. Daemen). He is a combined 8-0 in singles and doubles action in the past four matches to help the Spartans clinch the final spot in the upcoming ECC Championship.
The 10-7 Spartans return home for their regular season finale on Tuesday, April 18th, as STAC takes on Post University at 3pm on the Riley Family Tennis Courts. On Friday, April 21st, the number four seed, St. Thomas Aquinas College will travel to Flushing, NY for an 11am semifinal showdown with the top-seeded and host, Queens College Knights in the East Coast Conference Men's Tennis Tournament.
