Andrew Tartara was hired on August 1, 2018 as Assistant Athletic Director for NCAA Compliance and Sprint Football Operations. In this role, Andrew will be responsible for all aspects of NCAA Student-Athlete and Institutional rules compliance and certification for the Department of Athletics. Additionally, Tartara will serve as the main contact and supervisor of the college's new Sprint Football program, supporting the Head Coach, his staff and athletes by coordinating administrative functions and assisting in team operations.
Andrew returns to the St. Thomas Aquinas College Athletic Department in an administrative role, after his time as both a men's soccer athlete and Assistant Coach with the college. As a student-athlete, Tartara was stellar as the Spartan's main goalkeeper from 2008-2012, and received numerous accolades for his play in net, including ECC Men's Soccer Athlete of the Year and NSCAA All-Region selections. As a student, Andrew also excelled in the classroom, as he was a Dean's List student from 2008-2012 and was inducted into the Pi Gamma Mu, Chi Alpha Sigma and PSI SCI Honor Societies. Tartara graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Thomas Aquinas College in 2013 with a degree in Psychology.
Upon finishing his studies at STAC, Tartara joined SUNY Purchase College as their Men's Soccer Assistant Coach, before returning to his collegiate home in Sparkill to become the Goalkeeper Coach for both the Men's and Women's Soccer programs under his former Head Coach, Graham Brown. In addition, Andrew worked as a Regional Admissions Coordinator and Honors Liaison in the college's Admission's Department from February 2017 to August 2018.
