Spartans Ranked 8th in East Region

According to the latest USTFCCCA poll, the Spartan women's cross country team is ranked 8th in the East Region. This rankings follows the 9th place finish at the Paul Short Invitational.  Senior Kristen Borriello recorded another strong performance.  In her first 6K since 2015, she finished in 8th place in 22:39.  Sophomore Aida Torpey crossed the line in 23:36 which was good for 33rd place.  Sophomore Rebecca MacLeod, the 3rd Spartan finisher clocked a time of 23:39, which is a personal best in the 6K by more than a minute.  Senior Kara Santa Teresa finished in 24:19 followed by freshman Abagaile Kimbrell in 25:58.  The team finished in 9th place out of 32 teams.

The Spartans will return to action next Saturday at the NJIT Highlander Challenge.  The race will take place at Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ
