Samantha Vinci

St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis player, Samantha Vinci was named this weeks ECC Rookie of the Week.  Vinci was 3-0 in doubles play while posting a perfect 1-0 in singles play this week.  Paired with Erin Maher, Vinci defeated opponents 8-0 to win the Spartans' lone doubles match over Dowling.

She claimed an 8-1 victory with Jayden Brignola to help the Lady Spartans sweep NYIT and then teamed with Candice Zugibe for an 8-1 doubles victory against Caldwell.  Vinci secured a 6-2, 6-1 win against the Cougars in her only singles match for the week. 

STAC is currently 3-1 in the ECC putting them in second place behind Queens College and 4-3 overall.
