Late Charge Knocks Off Lady Spartans, 3-0

The St. Thomas Aquinas women's soccer team lost to Mercy College, 3-0 in today's ECC contest.  The Lady Spartans had eight shot attempts; six on goal but were unable to capitalize.  Sophomore Liz Grondwolt took three of STAC's shots.  Jeanette Gibson had four saves for the game.

Mercy received two goals from Delmara Reece, the frist coming three minutes into the second half.  Reece added her second goal at 59:44 and Ann Meenagh had a breakaway goal at 71:28.

The Lady Spartans will return to action on Saturday as they host C.W. Post at 4:00 PM.  The game will be played at the North Rockland Soccer Association.
