Women's Soccer Plays Tough But Drops 3 - 0 Decision to # 25 C. W. Post

The STAC women's soccer team dropped a hard fought decision to C. W. Post, the # 25 ranked team in the nation, by the score of 3 - 0 on Wednesday. The Lady Spartans held the Pioneers to 1 goal in the 1st half to keep the game close but then gave up 2 in the 2nd stanza to determine the final outcome.

STAC Goalkeeper Patti Roth registered 14 saves during the contest. The loss brings the STAC women's record to 2 - 9 overall and 1 - 5 in the East Coast Conference. The ECC is, arguably, the top conference in the country for women's soccer.

Coach Al Moroni's team returns to action on Saturday when they host ECC rival Queens College at 12:00noon at the Nardi Soccer Complex in North Rockland.
