The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team beat Findlay, 20-8 on Saturday afternoon. Margaret Sharp scored 5 goals and had 4 assists. Sharp was recognized briefly before the game for scoring her 100th goal. Sharp scored her 100th goal on March 12th against Wilmington.
STAC started the game strong outscoring the visitors 14-4 in the first half. The Lady Spartans had 6 different goal scorers in the half including 4 from Kucinski. Kucinski had the first goal of the game and finished with five total and 1 assist. Ruth Pluviose and Sabrina Prestano each scored a goal while Alexis Serras and Genevieve Stickney notched 2 of their 3 goals in the first half to propell STAC to its strong start.
Both teams traded goals a little more evenly in the second half still favoring STAC, 6-5. Sabrina Prestano added two more goals in the second half. Kaitlyn Lonergan had 5 saves as the Lady Spartans advance to 7-2 and won their third straight game.
STAC will face Queens College at home on Tuesday. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
