The women's basketball team wore pink-t-shirts and shoe laces to show their support in the fight against cancer. All proceeds from both the men's and women's basketball games against Bridgeport University were donated. The Spartan SAAC also participated in the event with a Pink Zone table where they sold t-shirts, chocolate lollipops and breast cancer awareness ribbons. Between the games, St. Thomas Aquinas College president, Dr. Margaret Fitzpatrick, was presented with a check for $725 to be donated to the Kay Yow WBCA Cancer Foundation.
