Lady Spartans Top Dowling, 63 - 40
With 4 scorers in double digits, the STAC women's basketball team evened their overall record at 6 & 6 and raised their ECC record to 5 - 0 as they defeated Dowling College of Long Island by a score of 63 - 40 on Wednesday evening. Senior Takiyah Ingram led all scorers with 13 points. Freshman Theresa Dowling added 11 points while junior forwards Corinne Albrecht and Raven Brinkley each scored 10 points.
The Spartans led 34 - 24 at the half and then outscored the Lions 29 - 16 in the 2nd period.
STAC returns to action on Saturday when they travel to C.W. Post
for a 1:00pm game.
