Men Ranked 1st, Women 3rd in latest Track Poll

In the second week of the USTFCCCA rankings the St. Thomas Aquinas Men's Track & Field Team is ranked number 1 in the East Region and the women's team  is ranked number 3.

Leading the way with number 1 ranking in the region include Winslow Dorsainvil (100, 4x100), St. Jacob Diodonet (200,400,4x100,4x400), Keondre Morris (4x100), Lugduni Desrosiers (4x100), Reid (4x400), Bestler (4x400), Rickssen Opont (Shot Put)  Notable number 2 rankings in the region include Diodonet (100), Mohammed Ifhikar (TJ), and Dylan Bestler (400h).  This will be the second straight week the Spartans were ranked number 1 in the region.
On the Lady Spartans side  of number 1 rankings in the region include Camille Cameron (400m), Victoria Jones-Alleye (100h), and Kristen Borriello (1500).  Notable number 2's in the region are Camille Cameron (100 4x100), Kristen Borriello (800), Rebecca Macleod (steeple), Victoria Jones Alleyne (4x100), Amber Lubaszka (4x100), and Tiana Kirkland (4x100).
On another note, this week the ECC conference awards went to:

St. Jacob Diodonet as it's Athlete of the week:
Diodonet broke his own school record at the Hurricane Invitational in the 200, running 21.51 and finishing fifth in the event. He allso competed in the 400, clocking a time of 47.94 which is a provisional NCAA time. In the Lafayette 7 Way meet, Diodonet took third in the 100 for the Spartans. Diodonet then came back and won the 200 in a time of 22.68.
Tristan Holmgren field Athlete of the Week:
Holmgren took first place in the high jump at the Lafayette 7 Way by jumping 1.92m.
Katherine Mollahan Field Athlete of Week:
Mollahan, competing in the shot put, took eighth place at the Miami Hurricane Invitational on March 19 with a toss of 11.38m and then won the event this past weekend with a personal best throw of 11.90m.
