The St. Thomas Aquinas Track & Field team continued to build upon the strong start to their outdoor season. For the third consecutive meet, new school records were set.
Winslow Dorsainvil won the 100 meter dash and St. Jacob Diodonet took 3rd in the event for the Spartans. Diodonet came back and won the 200 meters in a 22.68 time. Dylan Bestler took 3rd place in the 800 with a time of 2:01.88. In the 1500, Robbie Guidicipietro took 5th in in a time of 4:06.85. Jamer Linares took 4th place in the 5000 in a time of 17:03.23. Tristan Holmgren took 1st place in the High Jump by jumping 1.92m (6'3.5). Mohammed Ifhikar took 3rd place in the Long Jump 6.41m (21'0.5). Keondre Morris took 4th place in the Long jump with a leap of 6.32 (20'9). Elias Guardado took 2nd place in the triple jump by jumping 12.80m (42'). Rickssen Opont took 2nd place in the Shot Put with a throw of 15.10m (49'6.5) and 3rd place in the discus by throwing 42.11m (138'2).
On the women's side Tiana Kirkland took 3rd place in the 200 with a time of 27.51. Amber Lubaszka was the top Division II,III finisher in the 400 with a time of 1:00.77. Kristen Borriello took 2nd place in the 800 with a new school record time of 2:17.07. Molly Conner also hit a new school record in the 400 hurdles with a a 4th place finish and a time of 1:09.86. Rebecca Macleod took 3rd in the steeplechase with a time of 12:22.52. Katie Mollahan was the top finisher in the Shot Put with a throw of 11.90m(39'0.5) which was a new season best and collegiate best for her.
The team returns to action at the Ramapo Roadrunner meet on Friday and Saturday next week.
