  • Erazo to Compete for El Salvador

    Spartan alum, George Erazo, walked into St. Thomas Aquinas College as a freshman in 2010 with big dreams. He said he would run in the Olympics in 2016. After a stellar career as a Spartan, Erazo is taking his first steps to reach his goal next weekend, where he is planning to compete in the NACAC Championships in Costa Rica.
  • Women's Track & Field Garners as All-Academic Honors

    The St. Thomas Aquinas Women's Track & Field team has been named an All-Academic Team by the USTFCCCA. The Spartan squad is honored for their team GPA of 3.06. This is the second honor for many members of the team, as they earned the same award for the cross country season.
  • Spartan Runners Participate in the Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis Walk

    On Sunday, the St. Thomas Aquinas Cross Country/Track & Field athletes went out to support one of their teammates in trying to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. The Great Strides program brought together many people from Rockland County for a 3K walk for a cure at Albertus Magnus High School.
  • O'Grady Wins Smillie Award; Spartans Take Home Community Cup

    Sophomore runner Katie O'Grady was honored by the East Coast Conference with the John Smillie, Jr. Award for overcoming personal and physical challenges to continue to play the sport that she loves. Katie has excelled as a First Team All-Conference Cross Country runner for the Spartans despite her battle with Cystic Fibrosis that effects her breathing. The Spartan Athletic program also won their 6th consecutive Community Cup which represents the school with the most community service hours done by their student-athletes.
  • Winslow Dorsainvil Named Track & Field All-Region Selection

    St. Thomas Aquinas Track & Field sprinter Winslow Dorsainvil was named to the USTFCCCA East All-Region team in the 100 meters. This follows his conference honors as Track Athlete of the Year and Most Outstanding Athlete at the Outdoor Championships.
  • Spartans Compete at Penn Relays

    Select members of the St. Thomas Aquinas Track & Field Program competed in the prestigious Penn Relays on Thursday and Friday. Despite the cold weather, the 4x400 team of Gabby Sloezen, Gina Funaro, Kristen Borriello, and Allie Borriello ran 4:09.34 which was their top time for the outdoor season.
  • Winslow Dorsainvil Named ECC Runner of the Year

    Winslow Dorsainvil (Spring Valley, N.Y.) of St. Thomas Aquinas has earned the honor of East Coast Conference Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year, as voted on by the conference's coaches. Dorsainvil wins the honor after ranking among the East Region's best in the 100 meter and 200 meter dash.

  • Kristen Borriello Breaks Spartan Record in 1500

    The St. Thomas Aquinas Track & Field program competed this past week at the Rider Invitational. Rookie Kristen Borriello broke her own school record in the 1500 when she ran 4:47.06.

    On Saturday, the Spartan Track & Field team competed at the Roadrunner Invitational hosted by Ramapo College. Tara Hansen ran 18.68 to break the school record in the 100 hurdles.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas Track & Field teams competed on Friday at the Oscar Moore Invite at Rowan University. The Lady Spartans finished in 2nd place out of 10 with freshman Kristen Borriello leading the way. She broke the school record in the 1500 in a time of 4:55.39 and took 1st place in the event.

    Winslow Dorsainvil continues to rack up the accolades earning Second Team All-American honors at the NCAA DII Indoor Track & Field National Championship. Dorsainvil finished 10th overall in a time of 6.80.

    The East Coast Conference has announced Wislow Dorsainvil as the Runner of the Week. Dorsainvil took second place in the 60 meter dash in a time of 6.86 at Boston University’s David Hemery Valentine Invitational. He was the top collegiate finisher in the event.

    This past weekend the St. Thomas Aquinas men's and women's track and field team competed at the Valentine's Day Invitational at Boston University. The Lady Spartan's 4x400 team, Gabriela Sloezen, Kristen Borriello, Gina Funaro, and Allison Borriello, broke the school record with a time of 4:05.61.
  • Women's Track & Field Finishes 2nd at CTC Championship

    The Spartan Track & Field team competed at the CTC (Collegiate Track Conference) Indoor Championship on Sunday. The women's team finished in a program best 2nd place following strong performances across the board. Katie O'Grady finished 1st in the 5,000m to get the Lady Spartans started.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas Track & Field program raced at the Ramapo College Indoor Select Meet on Saturday. Against some of the the top Division I and II competition in the country, the men finished in 13th place out of 28 and the women finished in 15th place.
  • Dorsainvil Named Runner of Week for 4th Consecutive Week

    The East Coast Conference has named sophomore Winslow Dorsainvil the Runner of the Week for the 4th time. He has been honored every week of the Indoor Track & Field season to date. Winslow finished ninth overall at the Armory Track Invitational this past weekend in the 60 meter dash. He was the top Division II Athlete in the event out of 81 total participants. His time of 6.78 ties a personal best and keeps him ranked ninth in all of Division II this year.
  • New Records Set at Armory Track Invitational

    The Spartan Track & Field team competed at the Armory Track Invitational and had some great times at the meet. The meet was hosted at the Armory and consisted of top notch teams from all over the country including Clemson, Ole Miss, Arizona and many other schools.
  • Men Voted 2nd, Women 4th in ECC Indoor Track & Field Poll

    The ECC released the first preseason poll for the Inddor Track & Field season. The Spartans were voted finish 2nd in the Conference and Lady Spartans were predicted to finish 4th in the conference. In the past 3 season the men's team has finished the indoor season as second in the conference, while this is the highest ranking for the women's team to date.

    In the first USTFCCCA Indoor Track & Field East Regional Poll, both Spartan squads are ranked 10th. The women are led by their topped ranked DMR team in the region while Winslow Dorsainvil holds the top spot in the 60m.
  • Dorsainvil Continues to Rack Up ECC Honors

    Sophomore sprinter Winslow Dorsainvil has been named the ECC Runner of the Week for the third time this season. Dorsainvil took second in the 60 meters and was the top Division II runner in the Metro Challenge. He then came back and took eighth overall in the 200 with a time of 22.66.
  • Lady Spartans Break DMR Record at Metro Team Challenge; Sloezen breaks 400 meter record

    The Spartan Track & Field Team competed at the Metro Team Challenge on Friday where they competed against teams such as Villanova, Marist, Monmouth, Rutgers and other Division I, II, and III teams from the East Coast. The women's DMR team set a new Spartan record. Junior Gabriela Sloezen also broke the STAC 400m record.
  • Dorsainvil Tabbed Runner of Week

    Sophmore sprinter Wislow Dorsainvil has been named the East Coast Conference Indoor Track & Field Runner of the Week. This is the second time he has been honored his season. Dorsainvil ran a new school record time at the Gotham Cup this past week in a time of 6.78. His time puts him ranked No. 7 in the latest Division II rankings.
  • Dorsainvil runs 6.78 finishes 4th Overall in Gotham Cup; Sloezen breaks 500 meter record

    On Friday the Spartans and Lady Spartans competed at the Gotham Cup. Two Spartan school records were broken in great performances from Winslow Dorsainvil and Gabriela Sloezen.
