The ladies opened up the meet on Friday afternoon starting with thrower Jeanette Gibson. The senior tried out a new throwing technique with the shot put and launched a season best of 10.96 meters, which placed her 22nd out of 41 collegiate athletes.  Sophomore Sarah Callagy, led the field to clock a lifetime best of 5:38.82 in the mile. Callagy was able to place 73rd of 96 competitors.  Fellow sophomore Chelsea Klinger raced the 800m and clocked a time of 2:37.92.

On the men's side freshmen Mike Abelard and Rich Ricca both ran lifetime bests in both of their events.  Abelard competed in the championship section of the 200m dash and clocked a blistering time of 21.85. His performance placed him 5th out of 104 competitors.  Abelard also competed in the 400m dash running 51.09 while senior Vinny Modafferi ran 53.48.  Ricca competed in the 55m dash and ran a lifetime best of 6.66, qualifying him for the finals. Ricca, however, was unable to repeat his performance in the finals, but ended up placing 14th overall out of 46.
