Spartans Zumba for Autism

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Lacrosse team traded in their lacrosse cleats and physical play for sneakers and dance moves, as they joined the rest of the college community in an evening of Zumba to raise funds and awarness for Autism.

The event, presented and hosted by St. Thomas Aquinas College, Camp Venture and the Council for Exceptional Children of New York, allows for students, employees and members of the local community to take part in a fun and exhilerating Zumba workout.

$675 in donations, registration fees and raffle sales were raised, with proceeds from the evening's festivities donated directly to Camp Venture to assist in their efforts of helping people in the Rockland County community with developmental disabilities. Venture currently serves approximately 1,200 children and adults, and has over 30 program sites across the county.
