4 Spartans ranked in the top 30 among Northeast Region
Four players on the St. Thomas Aquinas golf team finished the 2007-2008 regular season ranked in the top 30 among all Division II Northeast players.
Freshman Chris Fitzpatrick is ranked 2nd among all Freshman and 8th overall with a 75.82 scoring average. Fitzpatrick finished the season with seven top 10 finishes and had 18 rounds of 79 or better.
Freshman Nick Zolotas is ranked 3rd among all Freshman and 12th overall in the region with a scoring average of 76.50. Nick finished the season with 6 top 10 finishes and 18 of his 22 rounds were 79 or better. Zolotas was the co-medalist at the ECAC tournament in which he beat out 100 other golfers with a 2-day total of 143 (73-70).
Junior Pat Schwarze is currently ranked 26th in the Northeast Region with a 77.67 scoring average. Pat had 2 top-10 finishes and 12 of his 18 rounds were scores of 79 or better.
Senior Captain Jordan Perretz finished his career at St. Thomas ranked 30thin the Northeast Region. With solid play and an exemplary short game, Perretz finished with a 78.13 scoring average and 18 of his 24 rounds were scores of 79 or better. Perretz has been to the Regional tournament 3 years in a row and played in every event this year.
