Men's Golf Earns Runner-Up Honors at Dominican Charger Challenge

The St. Thomas Aquinas Men's golf team earned a 2nd place finish this weekend at the Dominican College "Charger Challenge. The Spartans fired team rounds of 298 and 299 falling to host Dominican, who carded an impressive final round of 5 under par as a team.

Leading the Spartans was newcomer Tom Holmes who carded rounds of 70 and 78 to finish at 148 which was good for a T-3 finish. Senior Michael Miranda continued his steady play of the fall with rounds of 77 and 72 earning him a T-5 finish. Hamish Houston was able to grind out rounds of 74 and 76 earning him a 7th place finish while Jack Phillips (78-75) and Shkelqim Kukaj (77-76) both tied for 13th place with 2 day scores of 153.

The Spartans are back in action on Columbus Day weekend at the Eagle Invitational hosted by Post University.
