St. Thomas Aquinas Alum Named Frontier League All Star

Former St. Thomas Aquinas pitcher John Muller was named to the Frontier League All Star team announced on July 5th.  Muller graduated from STAC in 2007.  Muller currently holds the STAC record (NCAA Division II) in hits with 218 and is second in runs with 134.

The Frontier League is proud to announce the rosters for the 17th Annual Frontier League All-Star Game, to be played at Road Ranger Stadium in Loves Park, Illinois on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 7:05 P.M. The teams will be divided into squads representing the East Division and West Division.

The rosters announced today are composed of 22 players for each squad, determined by the votes of team officials and local media. In the East, there was a tie for the shortstop position between Florence's Brad Hough and Midwest's Roberto Mena. There are four players from the host team, the Rockford RiverHawks, on the West team.

The field managers for the game will be determined by which two clubs are in first place in their respective divisions following play on July 8, 2009. The two managers will each announce their additional 3 player selections to complete their 25-man roster, as well as their coaching selections on July 9th.
