The East Coast Conference announced their 2007 All-Conference Team with four Spartans among those awarded. The players were selected by the ECC coaches which based their selections solely on the 27 conference games.   

 

Senior John Muller (Mahopac, NY) received 2nd Team honors at shortstop after hitting .425 . He led all ECC shortstops in HRs (3), Doubles (10), RBIs (20) , SBs (6). His 225 career hits makes him the all-time career hits leader at STAC.

 

Javier Diaz made his 2nd straight appearance on the All-ECC team. The outfielder from Dobson, NC hit .343 and led all outfielders with 37 RBIs. His 10 HRs put him 2nd in the conference.

 

John Mazzello was selected as the top 2nd baseman in the conference after hitting .441 and swiping 19 bases. Both marks were tops for second basemen. His 19 stolen bases was tops in the conference. He also boasted the longest hitting streak of any ECC player which spanned 26 games.

 

Freshman Vinny Malzahn was a unanimous selection as Rookie of the Year. The 6'5 Port Jervis graduate slammed 10 HRs while hitting .301 in the 27 conference games.
