Shpresa Liharevic & Mike Abelard were named Spartan Athletes of the Month for January.

The freshman guard averaged 10.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game for the month of January helping guide the Lady Spartans to 4-5 for the month. Lihaervic's game high in January came against Dowling where she had 25 points, shooting 5-9 from behind the arc and 4-4 from the foul line. The freshman was named ECC Rookie of the week on two occasions during January.
